The Good News!
We've got some incredible Good News for you: You are so deeply loved by a perfect God who made you to know Him! But here's the honest truth: we all mess up. And it's more than just making a mistake or being imperfect. When we make choices that aren't good, when we decide to do things our own way instead of God's way, or when we put ourselves first above Him – that's what the Bible calls 'sin.'
And sin isn't just a little slip-up; it's like **telling God, 'I know better than you,' or 'I'm going to do what I want, even if it goes against what you've said.' It's a real act of rebellion against the God who created us and loves us perfectly. And because God is holy and perfect, that rebellion doesn't just create a disconnect; it actually means we deserve to be separated from Him forever in a place called hell. And here's the tough part: no amount of good things you do could ever erase all the bad things you've done since you were born.
But here's the amazing part: God, in His huge, unconditional love, didn't leave us there. He sent His Son, Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life, and then, get this, He chose to take all of our wrong choices, all of our sin, and the separation it caused, onto Himself when He died on the cross. He basically took our punishment for us. But He didn't stay dead! Three days later, God brought Him back to life, proving He beat everything—even death and sin!
Now, because of Jesus, God has made a way back to Him, and Jesus is the only way. And here's the absolute best part: you don't earn this and cannot earn this. It is given to you - a gift from God. It's not about being 'good enough' or having super-strong faith. Jesus did it all for you. His sinless, obedient life, His sacrifice on the cross, and His victory over death are what completely rescue us. So, when you simply welcome Jesus into your life as your Savior, you are completely forgiven, made brand new, and get to have an incredible, forever relationship with God. It's a fresh start, right now, just for you!
And this incredible rescue is needed because while God is amazingly loving and merciful, He is also perfectly righteous, holy, and just. Because of who He is, He simply cannot overlook our sin or just pretend it didn't happen, no matter how much good we try to do. That's why Jesus' perfect sacrifice was the only way!
